Places offered and first preferences: DfE, Primary and secondary school applications and offers (school level, Open Government Licence). "Put it first, not offered it" is DfE's number of first preferences less its number of first-preference offers. Applicants refused: Warrington's own offer-day tables, where we hold them; "not held" means we do not have the figure, not that it was nought.

Moving to Warrington mid-year

Apply to the council, for any school. The council coordinates in-year transfer applications for all Warrington schools except Kings Leadership Academy, which is applied to directly. One form per child (online or paper), with section 7 completed by the current or most recent school.

  • Decision: "We aim to reply to in-year transfer requests within 15 school days of receiving a fully completed application."
  • Proof of address: Documentary proof of a house move, e.g. council tax bill, signed exchange of contracts, tenancy agreement of at least 6 months (per the 2026-27 booklet, search summary).

From Warrington's own in-year admissions page (2026-27 (In Year Transfer information booklet 2026-27, August 2026)): read it there before you apply, as arrangements change each year.
