Places offered and first preferences: DfE, Primary and secondary school applications and offers (school level, Open Government Licence). "Put it first, not offered it" is DfE's number of first preferences less its number of first-preference offers. Applicants refused: Wigan's own offer-day tables, where we hold them; "not held" means we do not have the figure, not that it was nought.
Moving to Wigan mid-year
Apply to the council, for any school. Apply to the council online or on paper (Part 1 completed by the current school) for all schools except six that deal with their own in-year transfers: Castle Hill St Philip's CE, Hindley All Saints CE, St Gabriel's Catholic, St Patrick's Catholic, Golborne St Thomas' CE J&I and Fred Longworth High School.
- Decision: "Once a fully completed form has been submitted, they generally take 15 school day to process."
- Proof of address: For a recent or planned move, documentary proof of the new address, e.g. exchange of contracts or tenancy agreement (full list in the in-year booklet).
