Is our list safe?
Your application lists up to six schools in order. If none of them can offer a place, the council offers one at a school with room, which may not be one you chose. This shows, for each year councils have published, whether at least one school on your list gave places to homes further out than yours.

It uses the home and the schools you have saved, so sign in first. Your list stays in your account.
Sign inWhat it shows
- A grid: one row a year, one column a school, in your order.
- A school reached your home in a year when its last place went to a home further away than yours, or when it refused nobody who applied.
- One sentence of fact, such as: in 4 of the 5 years we hold, at least one school on your list offered places further out than your home.
- Free when you sign in: the newest year we hold for your list. With Plus: every year we hold.
Where we can't tell
- A year we hold no figures for, or one where the council didn't publish how far places reached.
- A home about the same distance as the last place: our straight line and the council's own measure can differ by more than that.
- Schools whose rules come before distance: faith, the 11+, or a catchment area. We show their figures, but never count them as reaching your home.
