Places offered and first preferences: DfE, Primary and secondary school applications and offers (school level, Open Government Licence). "Put it first, not offered it" is DfE's number of first preferences less its number of first-preference offers. Applicants refused: Medway's own offer-day tables, where we hold them; "not held" means we do not have the figure, not that it was nought.
Moving to Medway mid-year
Apply to each school directly. Submit a separate in-year admission application (council form) for each school wanted; schools give the outcome. The council answers vacancy enquiries by email and helps families who cannot find a place.
- Decision: "Schools must provide you with an outcome within 15 school days." Apply up to six weeks before the place is needed.
- Proof of address: If moving to the area, proof of the move such as a tenancy agreement or most recent Council Tax bill.
From Medway's own in-year admissions page (Not stated (example on page still refers to September 2023).): read it there before you apply, as arrangements change each year.
