Places offered and first preferences: DfE, Primary and secondary school applications and offers (school level, Open Government Licence). "Put it first, not offered it" is DfE's number of first preferences less its number of first-preference offers. Applicants refused: Milton Keynes's own offer-day tables, where we hold them; "not held" means we do not have the figure, not that it was nought.

Moving to Milton Keynes mid-year

Apply to the council, for any school. Apply on the council's Citizen Portal (up to four preferences); the council coordinates in-year applications for all schools except New Chapter Primary School and The Premier Academy, which must be contacted directly. The council decides for community and voluntary controlled schools and forwards other applications (including all secondaries) to the school for its decision.

  • Decision: "We aim to process your application within 15 school days (excluding weekends and school holidays)"; may be delayed where a school decides.
  • Proof of address: If moving into or within Milton Keynes: MK Council Tax reference, solicitor's letter confirming exchange of contracts, or signed tenancy agreement. Pupils already at an MK school need a School Information Form from the headteacher.

From Milton Keynes's own in-year admissions page (Not stated.): read it there before you apply, as arrangements change each year.

How in-year applications work everywhere: Moving mid-year.
