What happened at each school last year
The published figures from last year's offers. They describe what happened then, school by school. They are not a forecast, and they say nothing about any one family's case. Waiting lists are kept in the order of each school's admission criteria (School Admissions Code 2021, 2.15).
Reception, September 2026 entry
- DfE's figures cover 116 schools for September 2026 entry. At 85 of them, every family who put the school first was offered a place there. At 31, some families who put the school first were not offered it.
- Sheffield's own offer-day table, held for 39 schools, shows 0 that refused nobody who applied and 39 that refused at least one applicant.

- DfE's figures cover 27 schools for September 2026 entry. At 8 of them, every family who put the school first was offered a place there. At 19, some families who put the school first were not offered it.
- Sheffield's own offer-day table, held for 17 schools, shows 0 that refused nobody who applied and 17 that refused at least one applicant.

Moving to Sheffield mid-year
Apply to the council, for any school. Transfers between Sheffield schools: a Common Transfer Form obtained from the current school, which completes Section 2 and sends it to the council's Pupil Admissions team (up to three schools). Families new to or returning to Sheffield contact Pupil Admissions directly. The admissions team coordinates on behalf of Sheffield schools; no schools named as taking direct applications.
- Decision: "We aim to process your application within 15 school days of receipt and advise you of the outcome."
